An event focused on renewable energy will take place between the 20th and 21st in the capital of Pará.
The micro and mini generation of energy through distributed generation is already a reality in Brazil. Data from the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), for example, show that the sector already has 23 MW of installed power, just as the Southeast region is currently the largest producer.
And it is in search of changing this scenario, as well as developing the source throughout Brazil that the last edition of the 2023 North Region GD Forum, the 21st edition, takes place in Belém, Pará, between the 20th and 21st of September.
Promoted by the Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation (ABGD), as well as organized by the FRG Mídias & Eventos Group, the new edition of the Forum aims to bring the main opportunities of the sector to the northern region, as well as alternatives to develop it, mainly in search of a more sustainable economy. low carbon.
- Giant batteries revolutionize solar and wind energy, promising unprecedented efficiency and making electricity bills cheaper: the future of energy is closer than you think!
- Ceará enters into a billion-dollar partnership with a Chinese company to revolutionize renewable energy in Brazil, betting on green hydrogen with the expectation of generating almost 1 jobs

Tiago Fraga, CEO of Grupo FRG, points out that the event returns to Belém, where the expectation is very positive for the growth of the sector.
“The GD Forum returns to Belém do Pará with the greatest of expectations, where it is a special moment for the generation of renewable energy, clean energy, electricity generation always with the concern of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, with the low-carbon industry'', he points out.
''We are going to debate the issues, considerations, demands, opportunities and bottlenecks of energy generation in the north of the country,'' he says.
Fraga also comments that the moment for holding the forum is very propitious, where the capital of Pará will host the Amazon Summit. A city that already breathes everything that refers to sustainability such as renewable energy.
“The Forum, it comes at a more important and strategic moment than ever. The idea is to generate business, bring suppliers from Brazil, the world and the northern region as a whole closer together, taking advantage of their opportunities, within what each region can offer and have energy demand, whether in off grid systems, energy storage or power generation in isolated locations. So they will be opportunities that will be the focus of yet another distributed generation forum”, concludes Fraga.
It is also worth mentioning that according to ANEEL, the northern region as a whole is currently responsible for 1,5 MW, with more than 125 thousand consumer units, as well as 422 municipalities
engaged in their own energy generation. Belém, in turn, corresponds to 102 kW of this production, with 9.900 consumer units.
