A little bit of history about the Caoa Chery Sedan
The Chery Cielo is a mid-size vehicle built by Chinese manufacturer Chery Automobile, offered as a 4-door sedan and as a hatchback 5 doors. It was first revealed as a concept car in 2006 and went on sale in September 2008.

The Chery Cielo arrived here with a focus on trying to reduce the poor quality image of Chinese cars, which were frowned upon at the time.
The model arrived with two- and three-volume bodies, both for the same price, which was R$41.900 at the time. With design by the Italian studio Pininfarina and sizes of a medium hatchback (4,28 meters, slightly larger than a Volkswagen Golf) and a near-medium sedan (4,35 meters, like the Honda City), the CAOA Chery sedan arrived here with a 1.6 gasoline engine that could deliver up to 119 horsepower (at a late 6.150 rpm) and 15 kgfm of torque (before, between 4.300 and 4.500 rpm, associated with a five-speed manual.

The model's consumption reaches 7,1 km/l in urban areas and 13,5 km/l on highways. The autonomy is 405 km and 770 km respectively.

The CAOA Chery sedan offers several advantages and benefits, considering that the model has a Fipe table of less than R$20.
However, when buying a Chery Cielo it is important to pay attention to some points. Some consumers report some defects, such as cracking of the gasoline flange, something chronic for the brand.
Other defects are in the clutch master cylinder, courtesy light relay and the mileage counter, in quite isolated cases. The rear door, in some cases, stops opening and the model may generate some noises in the rear suspension.
It is worth mentioning that there was a recall of 12 thousand Cielo units after the Caoa group revealed to the public the use of asbestos.
