The president guarantees brevity for the vote on the bills being discussed in the National Congress prohibiting the taxation of solar energy in Brazil
“As far as it depends on us, there will be no taxation of solar energy. And period. No one speaks in the government but me on this issue. I am not interested in the opinions of secretaries or anyone else. The government's intention is not to tax,” said Bolsonaro shortly before blaming Aneel if the fee were to be charged.
“Let it be clear that Aneel is the one who decides this question, an autonomous agency in which its members have a mandate. I have no influence over them. The decision is theirs. We in the government will no longer discuss this matter, period, ”he added.
“I just spoke with Rodrigo Maia and Davi Alcolumbre about the taxation of solar energy proposed by Aneel.
