Acceleration in electric vehicle infrastructure comes with innovative partnership

WDC Networks, a technological giant present in the Telecommunications, Solar Energy, Data Center and Corporate sectors, joins forces with Enel X Way Brasil, Enel's innovative solutions arm, with the aim of promoting the electric and hybrid vehicle market in Brazil. The plan is to facilitate the use of clean and sustainable energy through the joint solution Enel X Way Box WDC, a compact and intelligent electric charging station.

Owners of electric and hybrid vehicles face challenges regarding the fueling infrastructure in Brazil, and this partnership seeks to develop the independence of these users.

WDC Solar adds an electric charging station to its portfolio

With this agreement, WDC Solar presents a unique opportunity for its network of channels and installers. With the Enel X Way/WDC Waybox, they will be able to offer photovoltaic generator kits already sold by WDC, thus accelerating decarbonization and electric mobility powered by clean energy.

The Waybox solution is Enel X Way Brasil's compact and intelligent electric charging station, suitable for any type of electric vehicle. Its versatility allows installations in indoor and outdoor environments, being perfect for residential, business or commercial use.

A new path to solar energy

Bruno Rigatieri, Director of New Business and Data Center at WDC Networks, sees this partnership as a way to bring a different approach to the market, as an additional product that WDC Solar integrators can offer their customers, integrating themselves into the system of solar energy generation already installed in the residence or commercial establishment.

Paulo Maisonnave, responsible for Enel X Way Brasil, also celebrates the partnership, seeing it as a joint effort towards sustainability. For him, WDC's expertise in solar panels and the scope of its distribution force are complementary to Enel's mission of accelerating the decarbonization of the economy, bringing renewable energy to all customers.

The growth of electric vehicles in Brazil

According to the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association (ABVE), 19.579 electrified light vehicles were sold in the first four months of 2023. This represents an increase of 51% over the same period last year, confirming that electric mobility is already a reality in Brazil.

WayBox WDC emerges as a solution for this expanding market, combining comfort and sustainability. In addition, it is easy to use and its configuration is done via an application, allowing the monitoring of top-ups in a simple and personalized way.

Vanderlei Rigatieri, CEO of WDC Networks, points out that Enel, a global company present in 30 countries, is a reference in the energy sector and finds synergy with WDC in offering sustainable and cutting-edge solutions.
