10 SUVs that are bad for resale, with models that, despite being robust, have great difficulty finding a new owner. Understand why these used cars are among the most difficult to resell.

When it comes to SUVs, many buyers expect to acquire a durable, powerful vehicle with a good resale value. However, some SUV models that are not resaleable end up becoming a real nightmare when it comes to finding a buyer. Whether due to a lack of parts, high maintenance costs or specific market issues, these vehicles present real difficulties in the used car market. We will detail the ten SUVs that cause the most headaches for those trying to resell them, with reports and information that show why these cars are avoided by many.

The hardest SUVs to resell

1. Volvo XC60 (2008-2009)
A respectable SUV, but the Volvo XC3.0 60 Comfort model is one of the worst SUVs to resell. With complex maintenance problems and expensive parts, many mechanics require special tools for repair. The lack of parts and expensive maintenance make resale difficult, as interested parties end up giving up when they discover the real cost of maintaining it.

2. Ssangyong Korando
The Ssangyong Korando is another SUV that is not very good for resale. Although it offers a 2.0 diesel engine with 4ร—4 traction, the brand has almost no dealerships in Brazil. The lack of technical support and parts means that the model quickly loses value in the used car market.

3. Kia Mohave
The Kia Mohave is known for its powerful engine and rugged design, but thatโ€™s not enough to make it a great selling point. The model is struggling due to low demand and high maintenance costs, which makes it one of the hardest SUVs to resell. Many buyers donโ€™t even know about the vehicle, which further reduces its resale market.

4.Nissan Xterra
The Nissan Xterra was once an icon, but today it is seen as an old and unattractive car. With an outmoded design and a limited market, this SUV is another example of a car that, despite being robust, is on the list of bad SUVs for resale. The high price of parts and the scarcity of buyers contribute to the difficulty of selling it.

5. Hyundai Terracan
Rarely seen on the streets, the Hyundai Terracan is an SUV with a robust appearance, but it is very difficult to resell. Its low popularity, combined with the lack of spare parts, means that many buyers avoid this used car. Its maintenance is expensive and complex, which makes the Terracan a risky investment.

6. Hyundai Galloper
The Galloper is an SUV that resembles the Pajero Full, but is much inferior in terms of market share. Although it has some fans in Brazil, its resale value is low due to the difficulty of finding parts and the lack of technical support. This is one of the bad SUVs to resell that, even in good condition, does not attract many buyers.

7. Pajero Full
The Pajero Full it is a robust vehicle, but it has already become an outdated model and expensive to maintain. Anyone trying to sell it is faced with a restricted market and few interested parties willing to pay the high maintenance costs of this used car.

8. Chevrolet Tracker (First Generation)
The first generation of the Chevrolet Tracker has good mechanics, but its outdated design means that few people are interested in the vehicle. This SUV, despite being reliable, has low demand in the used car market, which puts the model on the list of bad SUVs to resell.

9. Ford Explorer
The Ford Explorer is imposing and has a powerful engine, but its size and maintenance costs put off potential buyers. With low demand and high parts costs, this model is one of the hardest SUVs to resell in Brazil.

10. Honda CRV (First Generation)
The Honda CRV is reliable, but the first generation has an outdated design and expensive components. Even though it is a Honda, the lack of interest in the model makes it difficult and time-consuming to resell. Its high maintenance costs place it among the worst SUVs to resell.

The impossible is not just a matter of opinion

Reselling an SUV can be a challenge, especially when it comes to models that have maintenance issues or have a limited market. These bad-for-sale SUVs end up taking up space in the garages of their owners, who have difficulty finding interested parties willing to take on the costs associated with these vehicles.

So before you buy an SUV, It is important to consider not only the initial cost, but also the resale value and ease of maintenance to avoid complications in the future.

I have a 2008 Tracker, 225.000 km driven, only preventive maintenance. And when I needed parts, I had no difficulty finding them.
As for resale, I don't even need to open my mouth to sell, because even without advertising, I have plenty of people interested in buying.

Exactly that. I don't know where they got this information that the first generation Tracker is a bad seller.

I have a Ssangyong Korando and I love the vehicle. I find parts easily and the vehicle is great at a low cost.
