BP has announced the appointment of Murray Auchincloss as its new CEO with immediate effect.
Murray, who has served as interim CEO since September 2023, will remain a member of the BP board.
His appointment was made following a robust and competitive search process undertaken by the board over the past four months with the support of international search consultants. This included a detailed analysis of a range of candidates, including those external to BP.
