The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) will soon launch a new public tender with hundreds of vacancies for candidates of medium and higher level.
O Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) has just authorized a new competition for staff with 895 vacancies. Hiring, according to the government, can happen from December. This is the deadline for provision based on the legal terms of the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services. In this way, if the IBGE proceeds with the preparations, the nominations of the approved civil servants may take place in the coming months.
Check when the public notice for the IBGE public tender is available
The public tender for Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics - IBGE will have mid-level and higher-level opportunities. The authorizing ordinance was published on July 19, confirming the endorsement for a new IBGE public tender and providing for a period of six months for the public notice to be released.
In this way, the document with all the rules must be released by January 15th of the next year. If the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics does not disclose by this date, the ordinance will be without effect and a new authorization from the government will be required.

The document that authorizes the public tender also estimates that the period between the announcement and the application of the exams is two months. In this way, the tests of the IBGE contest must take place, at the latest, by March 2024.
The Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services, Esther Dweck, told the press that efforts are being made for the public tender to be announced later this year.
Positions that will be open in the public tender IBGE
The new public competition for admission to the IBGE will have 895 vacancies, being them in middle and higher level positions.
For middle level the position of technician in geographic information and statistics is foreseen, with 300 vacancies.
Already for higher level, the estimate is for planning, management and infrastructure analyst in geographic information and statistics, with 275 vacancies, researcher in geographic information and statistics with 8 vacancies and technologist in geographic information and statistics with 312 vacancies.
The 2023 salaries for these positions at the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics are as follows:
- analyst BRL 9.910,40 (adjusted and with meal allowance);
- technicians BRL 4.666,24 (adjusted and with meal allowance);
- technologist: BRL 10.891,67 (adjusted and with meal allowance);
- researcher: BRL 9.910,40 (adjusted and with food allowance).
- The value of the food allowance is R$ 658.
But after all, what is missing for the announcement of the new IBGE contest to be published??
The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics - IBGE already has authorization to hold its new contest. Now, the organ runs with internal processes. An organizing committee has not yet been disclosed, however, in addition to this, the IBGE is expected to hire an organizing committee.
The chosen institution will receive registrations for the public tender, in addition to applying the stages, such as the objective tests. The IBGE has already informed that the hiring of contest bank will be carried out through bidding in order to close its final version of the public notice and schedule.
