A Brazil's navy announced this week that registration is open for its new Public Contest. According to the announcement issued by the Navy, the public tender aims to fill 42 vacancies, in different areas, for professionals with a higher education level. Also according to the announcement, the salary is R$ 9.070,60.

According to notice of the public tender of the Brazilian Navy, there are several opportunities for professionals who are trained in the following areas:
- Medicine (25 jobs);
- Dentistry (4 vacancies);
- Engineering (3 vacancies);
- Physical Education, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Nutrition (1 vacancy for each);
- Administration, Accounting or Economics (5 vacancies for each).
Candidates who are approved in the public tender of the Brazilian Navy will participate in a Training Course at the Almirante Wandenkolk Instruction Center (Ciaw), In Rio de Janeiro city. The duration of the course varies from 31 to 36 weeks, depending on the area chosen by the candidate.

Age group criteria to occupy one of the positions in the public tender of the Brazilian Navy
According to the publications published by the Brazil's navy, some age group criteria were adopted for those intending to participate in the public tender.
For those who turn up to a maximum of 28 years old by January 1, 2023, they can apply for the areas of Engineering, Physical Education, Administration, Accounting and Economics. As for those who are up to a maximum of 34 years old, until June 30, 2023, they will be able to apply for the areas of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Pharmacy.
Registrations
Entries for the public tender for the Brazilian Navy will be open until July 24, requiring payment of a fee of R$ 140 to confirm the candidate's enrollment.

The Brazilian Navy is part of one of the branches of the Brazilian Armed Forces (with the Brazilian Army and the Brazilian Air Force) being primarily responsible for conducting naval operations. The Brazilian Navy is the oldest of the Brazilian Armed Forces, in addition to being the largest in South America and also in Latin America, it is the second largest in the American continent, just after the United States Navy.
The patron saint of the Brazilian Navy is the Marquis of Tamandaré. The Brazilian Navy participated in combats such as: Independence War (1821–1824), Cabanagem (1835-1840), Farrapos War (1835–1845), Balaiada (1835-1841), World War I (1917-1918), Constitutionalist Revolution of 1932 (1932), World War II (1942-1945), Guerrilha do Araguaia (1972-1974). The Navy has also assisted in UN Missions, such as in Haiti (2004–2017) and Lebanon (2011–2020).
