Aiming at an even more productive future in the sector, the Brazilian Institute of Oil and Gas (IBP) and the Brazil Canada Chamber of Commerce (CCBC) signed a cooperation agreement. The purpose of the treaty is to unite the forces of both countries in projects aimed at the oil and natural gas sector in the coming years. The agreement signing meeting was attended by big names in the segment.

Aiming to bring the countries even closer together, uniting the strengths of both in the segment, the IBP and the CCBC signed a cooperation agreement aimed at the oil and natural gas sector.
The signing of the agreement took place last week. It had the participation of big names in the segment, such as the president of Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates, and was held in Rio de Janeiro.

IBP president Roberto Ardenghy highlighted the importance of the cooperation agreement with Canada for future oil and natural gas projects.
He reinforced the technological and environmental advances that the country has been achieving in recent years in the segment. This agreement also guarantees a bolder look at the future of the international market with Brazil.
The Institutional Relations Director of the Brazil Canada Chamber of Commerce (CCBC), Paulo de Castro Reis, celebrated CCBC's 50th anniversary, which will be celebrated together with the new cooperation agreement.
“We created the Brasil Hub in Montreal and Edmonton to facilitate the internationalization of Brazilian companies in Canada, enabling access to innovation and research, and the establishment of partnerships to foster business and investment. The two countries have many synergies. Working together with the IBP, we want to contribute to bringing the Brazilian and Canadian ecosystems closer to the oil and gas sector”, he said.

Jean Paul Prates, the new president of Petrobras, highlighted the current relevance of the cooperation agreement between the IBP and the CCBC.
He believes that both countries have common traits in the field of fuels, bringing them even closer together.
There is still the possibility of cooperation between the two countries in the development of offshore wind generation projects (an area in which the oil and gas industry can bring its wide experience with offshore installations).
Brazil has become one of the biggest bets in the international oil and natural gas market regarding the potential for offshore wind production.
Thus, the new cooperation agreement makes room for these and other exploration activities in the segment.
Finally, the Consul of Canada, David Verbiwski, reinforced that the country and Brazil have a history of cooperation in various industrial projects.
For them, the new agreement once again shows the interest of both nations in a more profitable future in the field.
