Caio Paes de Andrade assumes the presidency of Petrobras
Caio Mário Paes de Andrade assumed the presidency of Petrobras this Tuesday (28/6). The manager was approved as a member of the Board of Directors and CEO of the company at a meeting held yesterday (27/6). The term of office of director continues until the next General Shareholders' Meeting (still without a scheduled date), and that of chairman until 13/04/2023. Caio took office in Rio de Janeiro, the company's headquarters, on an internal agenda.
Paes de Andrade holds a degree in Social Communication from Universidade Paulista, a postgraduate degree in Administration and Management from Harvard University and a Master's in Business Administration from Duke University. Entrepreneur with proven successes in information technology, real estate and agribusiness, he founded and / or led the construction of several emblematic companies in the Brazilian Information Technology market.
In the social area, he founded and monitors the activities of the Fazer Sucessor Institute – a self-sustainable organization that has a direct positive impact on 4.000 children and adolescents in the semi-arid region of Bahia, through sports. In 2019, he assumed the Presidency of the SERPRO, the main state-owned IT company in the Americas.
He then became Special Secretary for Debureaucratization, Management and Digital Government, former Ministry of Planning, where he coordinated the elaboration of the Administrative Reform and the GOV.BR Platform, the central nucleus of the Digital Transformation of the Brazilian state.
