The automaker gathered billionaire investments with the aim of structuring its ventures in Brazil and increasing the production of Chery and Hyundai vehicles in São Paulo and Goiás

In the past 15 years, assembler of vehicles Caoa joined billionaire investments, in the order of US$ 3 billion, to structure its ventures in the automobile industry, which are, currently, the manufacture of vehicles under the Chery and Hyundai brands, with factories in Anápolis, Goiás, and Jacareí, São Paulo , which will become a production center for imported vehicles focused on electric and hybrid vehicles.

Who explains this information is the president of Caoa, Mauro Correia, who received Automotive Business at the headquarters of the company Montadora in São Paulo and commented on how Dr. Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Andrade, CAOA, built his legacy, which began with the acquisition of a Ford dealership.

The director of the automaker also said about the restructuring that Caoa will promote at the car production plant in Jacareí, São Paulo, which will remain closed for three years after the dismissal of approximately 400 workers.

The promise of the Caoa assembler is to modernize the production unit so that it reaches the production standards of Goiás. The import of Chinese vehicles of the Exeed brand is still not in the focus of Caoa, in contrast to what has been reported recently.

Lack of components on the foreign market did not affect the production of Caoa vehicles in São Paulo and Goiás

Mauro Correia stated that the lack of electronic components in the international market did not significantly affect the production of vehicles in Brazil, in São Paulo and Goiás, which is currently concentrated in Anápolis, where the Hyundai IX35 and New Tucson models are assembled alongside the Chery line, as well as the HR and HD 80 light trucks, with FPT engines already prepared to meet Euro 6 standards .

The Chery Arrizo 6 Pro vehicles and the iCar, the cheapest electric car in Brazil, are completely imported from China. As for Subaru, the vehicles arrive ready-made from Japan and undergo production for the sale of vehicles from a dry port, in a customs area in the region of Anápolis, Goiás.

The automaker Caoa also plans to continue with the strategy of intensive dissemination of its products via electronic and printed media and has grandiose plans to continue to stand out in the rankings of satisfaction of its consumers, which has been at the top.

After dismissal, automaker Caoa promises to reopen factory in Jacareí, São Paulo

The automaker Caoa started the process of electrifying its vehicles in the Brazilian market and currently uses only the production unit in Anápolis, Goiás, for the production of its vehicles.

For this reason, the automaker Caoa promised that it will again activate the production of its hybrid cars at the production unit in Jacareí, in the interior of São Paulo, where the manufacture of vehicles, such as the Tiggo 3x and the Arrizo 6, was ceased.

Mauro Correia, president of CAOA, in an interview for the Automotive Business website, promised that the production of vehicles will be resumed in Vale do Paraíba, however this will only occur after the modernization of the unit for electrification.

According to Correia, the Anápolis factory was restructured between 2017 and 2018 for electrification, but the Caoa business emerged and the company decided to invest in the production of the brand’s electrified cars in Goiás.

The president of CAOA also stated that after the modernization, a new line of hybrid vehicles will reach the Brazilian market, however, at the moment, he does not talk about future Caoa cars.
