The state of Bahia has been investing heavily in research regarding the production potential in the mining sector in the region and CBPM, together with the company XCalibur, delivered the results of the aerogeophysical study carried out in recent weeks.

CBPM (Companhia Baiana de Pesquisa Mineral) continues to invest in the expansion of mining production in the state of Bahia and recently completed and delivered the results of the aerogeophysical study carried out with the company XCalibur in the north of the state. The main focus of the project is the mapping of the productive potential in the region's mineral sector, aiming to attract new companies and expand Bahia's relevance in Brazilian mining.

Aerogeophysical study of XCalibur and CBPM in Northern Bahia is completed and the results of the mining mapping were presented in the state

The state of Bahia has become a reference throughout the national territory in terms of investments in research and development of production projects in the mining sector. Recently, a new and significant initiative was completed by CBPM, an aerogeophysical study with the company XCalibur of the production potential of the north of the state.

Thus, the last few weeks saw the completion of the study and, recently, the delivery of the main results of the mapping of the mineral sector in the state.

The main objective of the entire aerogeophysical study carried out by the companies was to find the necessary information to attract investment to production in the mining sector in the region. Thus, the CEO of Lasa Prospecções, representative of XCalibur in Brazil, Henrique Duarte, commented that “The technology used is the electromagnetic method, in the time domain, by helicopter. It is a method developed by the company, in Canada, and the differential of this method is that it allows you to investigate mineral deposits at a depth of up to 500 meters, depending on the occurrence. It is the method available in the industry with the best signal quality, the best resolution”.

XCalibur also commented on the mapping process of mining production opportunities in Bahia and highlighted that, although the challenges of collecting information were great, the aerogeophysical study managed to gather the ideal mapping to expand the sector in the state.

During the entire process, the company, with CBPM, covered more than 1.178 square kilometers, which correspond to more than six thousand linear kilometers of aerogeophysical data, a very time-consuming and delicate project in terms of information reliability.

The CBPM team is now starting the technical analysis of the aerogeophysical study carried out by XCalibur and seeks to attract investors to production in Bahia

The completion of the aerogeophysical study by the company XCalibur in Northern Bahia was a success and, now, the next step is to carry out a technical and meticulous analysis of the results obtained in the mapping by CBPM.

The geologist and master in geophysics, responsible for CBPM's Geophysical Projects, Ives Garrido, said that the team from the mining company in Bahia will now work on drilling exploratory and for the discovery of new deposits with the study data.

In addition, he reinforced that the areas surveyed by the CBPM include regions with a high and diversified mineral heritage. He also said that the dissemination of these results of the aerogeophysical study made it possible for the private sector to have a large volume of secure information. Which signal countless opportunities, thus contributing to the safe investment of companies that seek to explore the mineral production potential that the region of Bahia has.

Finally, the president of CBPM, Antonio Carlos Tramm, said that he can see a prosperous future for mining in Bahia and hopes that the return on investments in research and projects for mapping the productive potential will start to happen in the coming years with the arrival of new companies.
