The organization of the municipalities surrounding the Suape industrial complex is important for port operational development
In January 2012, the Federal Law 12.587 which deals with the National Urban Mobility Policy (PNMU). The norm provides that the Union establishes guidelines for urban development, including with regard to transport. In this sense, the Suape industrial complex, where the largest port terminal in the Northeast is located, in Pernambuco, has encouraged the preparation of Human and Sustainable Mobility Plans for strategic cities for the progress of port operations, which would consequently generate more jobs.
Suape needs these municipalities to improve road flow, restructuring public transportation and accessibility. Thus, the industrial complex can develop further, operate better and generate more job opportunities. In parallel, cities are also modernizing.
Through a cooperation agreement, R$ 860 thousand were transferred to the municipality of Cape St. Augustine, where the Port of Suape is located, and the Sirinhaém, a city known in the region not only for its enormous tourist potential, especially for the beautiful coastline, but also for being connected to the PE-60 road, one of the main routes for those entering or leaving the metropolitan area of Recife. The budget contributes to the development of studies.

“When we were awarded by the Port of Suape for having the mobility plan, we knew that we would be contributing to the future, with generations, with the progress of the city in a planned way. We are very happy to be able to participate in this cooperation agreement that will bring more opportunities to our city. We are contributing even more to the development of Pernambuco. In addition to tourism, Sirinhaém has a lot to offer, and we at City Hall are willing to do whatever we can to make this place an even better place to live.
