Public competition for the Civil Police of Minas Gerais opens 255 vacancies in various positions with salaries of up to R$ 14.931,31.
On August 20th, the Civil Police of the State of Minas Gerais announced the opening of a new public tender, as published in the Official Electronic Gazette of Minas Gerais. This competition aims to fill a total of 255 vacancies in four different positions. The selection will be conducted by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and the Minas Gerais Civil Police Academy (ACADEPOL).
Registration and exemption
The registration fee varies depending on the position:
- R$ 220,00 for Deputy and Medical Examiner.
- R$ 105,00 for Criminal Expert.
- R$ 85,00 for Police Investigator.
There is also the possibility of exemption from the fee for candidates who are unemployed, in a situation of economic and financial insufficiency, registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico), or blood donors.

Exemption requests can be made between 16pm on October 21st and 16pm on October 24th, 2024.
Entries for the competition will be open from 16pm on October 21, 2024 and will close at 16pm on November 19, 2024.

For those who face difficulties accessing the internet, it will be possible to register in person at the ACADEPOL headquarters in Belo Horizonte or at the Civil Police Stations in Minas Gerais, during business hours.

O competition offers vacancies for the following positions:
- Substitute Police Chief: There are 54 vacancies for candidates with higher education in Law and three years of legal or police activity. The salary for this position is R$14.931,31.
- LEGIST doctor: The competition offers 10 vacancies for candidates with a degree in Medicine, with a salary of R$11.547,07.
- Forensics expert: There are 26 vacancies, divided between candidates with training in areas such as biology, engineering, pharmacy, among others, and candidates with training in IT and computer engineering. The salary for this position is R$11.547,07.
- Police Investigator I: The largest number of vacancies, 165, are allocated to candidates with higher education in any area of training. The salary for the position of Police Investigator is R$5.332,62.
Civil police tests and assessments
O competition will include several evaluation stages:
- Police Delegate: Candidates will undergo an objective test, essay test, oral test, biomedical and biophysical exams, psychological assessment, qualification tests and social investigation.
- Coroner, Criminal Expert and Police Investigator: These positions will have objective tests, biomedical and biophysical exams, psychological assessment, qualification tests and social investigation.
The objective test for all positions will be held in Belo Horizonte, on January 26, 2025.
Candidates for Police Officer, Forensic Doctor and Criminal Expert will take the test in the morning shift, from 08am to 12:30pm.
Police Investigator candidates will take the test in the afternoon, from 15pm to 19pm.
- Police Delegate: The objective test will include questions on administrative law, constitutional law, criminal law, criminal procedural law, human rights, legal medicine and criminology.
- LEGIST doctor: The test will be divided into basic and specific knowledge modules, including topics such as Portuguese Language, Administrative Law, Legal Medicine, Forensic Toxicology, Pathology and Forensic Psychiatry.
- Forensics expert: The exam will be divided into modules that cover basic and specific knowledge in areas such as Portuguese Language, Logical-Mathematical Reasoning, Basic Computing, Legal Medicine and Criminalistics, in addition to specific areas of Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
- Police Investigator: The objective test will be divided into basic and specific knowledge modules, including Portuguese Language, Logical-Mathematical Reasoning, Basic Computing, PCMG Organic Law, Administrative, Constitutional, Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law, among others.
Validity of the civil police competition
O competition It will be valid for two years and may be extended for another two years.
Approved candidates will be summoned according to the order of classification and the needs of the Civil Police during the period of validity and its possible extension.
