“They will hire mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, painting, blasting, machining and boiler repair companies. There will be many activities and, added to them, there is also a demand for transport services, food, uniforms and materials. It is not a large amount, but it is concentrated in two months”. says Durval.

The companies contracted in this first moment will assemble the mine's bench belt system, repair the ball mill in concentrator 3, pass the instrumented PIG in pipeline 2, deliver the forklifts and reclaimer to the Ubu yard, and then reach the start of commissioning of the entire Samarco system.

According to Del Pupo's budget analyst, Jean Carlos Nogueira, he said that he is looking for a new contract, and the metalworking company will create 30 jobs.

The electrical maintenance company Tereme is going to open 100 vacancies and is starting to receive resumes at its office in Serra and by email. Senai-ES is one of the partners for the resumption of the company and will act in the qualification and professional development of employees.

Senai developed, in partnership with Samarco managers, a qualification program whose main motto is “Doing it right the first time”.

The program's proposal includes courses in the areas of: Mechanics, Welding, Electrical, Instrumentation and aims to encourage employees to have a systemic view of improving communication, decision-making and productivity through lean tools.

The superintendent of Sesi-ES and regional director of Senai-ES, Mateus de Freitas, explains that at first all employees will be submitted to theoretical and practical tests.

“All the courses were built together with the company, based on the real need for the operation. Classes will be held at Samarco's facilities, adapting all content to day-to-day operations,” said Mateus.
