Novo Mundo will invest more than R$50 million and will take an e-commerce operation to the DF. According to the company, job vacancies are for immediate start
Ibaneis Rocha, Governor of the Federal District, signed this Thursday, October 17, an agreement with the company Novo Mundo Móveis e Utilidades Ltda. to bring to the state a distribution center for products sold by the virtual store, the so-called e-commerce. The group already has a warehouse in the DF to stock goods from regional stores, but now it also serves all customers in the country who choose to shop on digital platforms.

The measure will immediately create 1 thousand direct and indirect jobs and, according to the Government of the DF, the company should open vacancies immediately.
The negotiation with the large business group lasted about four months and guaranteed a reduction of, on average, 3% in the Tax on Operations Related to the Circulation of Goods and on the Provision of Interstate and Intermunicipal Transport and Communication Services (ICMS) as an effect compensation for the new business, depending on billing.
“The change we expected in the local economy, from an administrative city to an economic center for large companies, with technology and internet sales, has already begun. That means more jobs, more tax collections and more wealth for the city. From the DF, goods will be distributed throughout Brazil”, explained Economy Secretary André Clemente to the column.
As far as Ibaneis is concerned, agreements like the one made with Novo Mundo should become commonplace in the country's capital. “We are aware that the public power alone is not able to recover the profitability of the city. We need the private sector and we are sure that other companies will soon also be present in the DF, as they believe in our government and in our will to achieve”, he highlighted.
Investment of BRL 50 million
Novo Mundo businessman Carlos Luciano Ribeiro also highlighted the advances. “Brasília has privileged logistics. We are very happy to bring here our internet sales, a segment that grows a lot all over the world. We are studying to acquire an area in Polo JK and we are going to invest more than R$ 50 million, initially”, he highlighted.
