With 2,6 megawatt-peak (MWp), the distributed generation plant project was built in the city of Piratuba, also in Santa Catarina and 427,5 km away from Florianópolis, and will offset the expenses of five company emitters .

The entire procedure necessary for the construction of the photovoltaic distributed generation plant began three years ago, in 2019. However, its installation in Santa Catarina is scheduled to take place by the beginning of March 2022.

According to Nexen, in order for the distributed generation plant in Santa Catarina to reach the expected generation of 3.500 MWh per year, almost six thousand modules of the Canadian brand of 450 watts (W) and twenty inverters of the Sungrow brand of 110 watts were used. kilowatts (kW). This amount of energy is enough to supply electricity to more than 18 homes per year, with 500 kWh of consumption.

The distributed photovoltaic generation plant in Santa Catarina occupies a space of approximately 13 thousand and 500 square meters. In all, the investment made for the implementation of the plant in Santa Catarina was R$ 15 million.
