IBP launches free training program in partnership with Equinor and SBM Offshore to train professionals in the offshore oil and gas market.
The Brazilian Institute of Oil and Gas (IBP) is taking an important step towards training professionals specifically for the offshore oil and gas market. In partnership with Equinor and SBM Offshore, IBP is launching the “Offshore of the Future” program in February, an initiative that aims to provide capacity theoretical and practical for those who wish to work in this sector.
The program is free and offers an excellent opportunity for those seeking solid training that is connected to the current demands of the oil and gas market, which continues to grow.
About the offshore training program for oil and gas professionals
O SCHEDULE “Offshore of the Future” has as its main objective the training of professionals who wish to enter the offshore oil and gas sector. IBP, through its Corporate University (UnIBP), organizes a training course, which will be held in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

The course lasts three months and includes a combination of theoretical and practical modules.
Throughout the program, participants will have access to comprehensive training that includes important topics for the development of essential skills in the offshore oil and gas sector.
The training is aimed at those who have technical training in areas such as mechanics, electrical, electronics, chemistry, automation and O&G, with the aim of meeting the growing demand of the offshore market.
How to participate in the IBP program?
Registration for the training program will be open from February 11th to April 4th and must be completed on the UnIBP website, at this link: https://www.unibp.com.br/cursos/programa-offshore-do-futuro/
To participate in the selection process, candidates must be at least 18 years old and have completed technical education in one of the specified areas.

IBP's theoretical and practical offshore training modules
During the course, participants will have a workload of 353 hours, divided between theoretical and practical modules.
The theoretical modules will be held at the IBP headquarters and will cover content related to concepts of chemistry, physics, mathematics and technical aspects of the oil and gas sector.
The practical module will take place at the Pipeline Technology Center (CTDUT), where students will have the chance to experience the reality of the offshore sector and learn from experts.
During the course, students will also have access to innovative teaching methods, such as the PBL (Problem-Based Learning) methodology, which aims to develop practical and problem-solving skills, which are essential for working in the offshore sector.
In addition, the program offers a scholarship of R$1.400,00 to participants, helping to enable their full dedication to the course.
During training, students will be monitored by specialized professionals and will undergo periodic assessments of their performance, helping to ensure that training objectives are achieved.
IBP is committed to offering students a comprehensive education that prepares them to work with excellence in the oil and gas sector, especially in the offshore market.
I would like to be able to participate, but I am not qualified in the required areas (I am an SHST Technician, and perhaps this specialty will not be taught!) And also time does not allow, because I live in Angola and registrations are almost closing!
Amazing initiative… May there be more projects like this
Good luck, and may the creators of this initiative (idea) be blessed.
I have a mechatronics technician but I have no experience
