The Sustainable Brazil Project, promoted by JKL Energy together with the Government of the State of Piauí, aims to implement the largest photovoltaic plant in Latin America.

The plant is located in the region between the municipalities of Guaribas and Caracol, in Piauí and has a total of 4 million solar energy panels, divided into portions of 500.000 panels over 500 hectares (1.235,5 acres).

The project also foresees the development in the region of both the economy and the infrastructure of cities and mobility. The forecast is that 2.000 direct and indirect jobs will be generated in 4 years, in addition to the development of towns and cities in the region.
The centralized photovoltaic solar power plant installed by JKL Energy will provide 1 GW of power for the power grid and for local electrification.
In addition to the Sustainable Brazil Project, the multinational also has projects outside the country. According to CEO of the company, all are already in execution and the launch forecast is for 2023. “Our purpose is to promote Sustainable, Technological and Innovation development (through projects) implementing Smart Cities and creating electric mobility in Urban, Road and Railways” he concludes.
