Innovative agreement to improve operational efficiency
Constellation, together with HMH, announced this Thursday, January 11, the signing of a pioneering contract in Brazil for the integrated maintenance support of Blowout Preventers (BOPs) on its semi-submersible drilling platforms, including Alpha Star, Gold Star and Lone Star. This agreement, with an initial duration of five years and the possibility of extension, introduces a remuneration model based on performance and risk sharing, an innovative strategy in the Brazilian market.
Transformation in the maintenance of critical equipment
Rodrigo Ribeiro, CEO of Constellation, emphasizes that the contract with HMH will bring greater reliability to the rigs' critical equipment, in addition to increasing the safety of well control processes and operational efficiency. This agreement allows Constellation to focus on drilling operations, while HMH assumes responsibility for maintaining the BOPs of the three platforms. The agreement provides for the delivery of parts, predictive and preventive maintenance, and optimization of maintenance time through data analysis, ensuring the continuous readiness of the equipment.
Advanced maintenance and support strategy
Chuck Chauviere, president of HMH's Pressure Control Systems division, emphasizes implementing a condition-based maintenance program, optimizing maintenance intervals and improving operational performance. This integrated approach ensures that BOPs are always in optimal operating condition. The contract represents a significant advance in equipment maintenance and asset management, with expectations of increasing the uptime and availability of drilling units for customers, marking a new paradigm in the sector.
