According to information provided by CelgPAR itself, the construction of the plant will use more than 15 solar modules, 50 photovoltaic inverters and 170 trackers.
In addition, the founding of the plant is part of the Efficiency Program of the State of Goiás, which aims to transform all public institutions in the state of Goiás into self-sufficient in terms of electricity consumption. Thus, the expectation is that the energy generated in the new plant built by CelgPAR will be enough to compensate for the amount consumed by the organs and departments of the government of Goiás.

In accordance with the government of the state of Goiás, the Efficiency Program is initially intended to reach 15 megawatts. The plant in Cachoeira Dourada is part of the first stage of the program, and the construction of two other plants, one at the State University of Goiás (UEG) and another at the Goiás Supply Centers (Ceasa), are already undergoing the bidding process.
According to the president of CelgPAR, José Fernando Navarrete, contemporary society needs a different vision of progress, which relies on clean and renewable energy sources. From this, the state of Goiás shows a significant potential for harnessing sunlight.
In the opinion of the president of CelgPAR, the decision of Governor Ronaldo Caiado, from the Democrats party, to invest in the area of photovoltaic energy is a political and economic initiative, which is in line with the current and important global debate on sustainable development.
The construction company that won the bidding process was Lotus Empreendimentos, which will have up to 30 days to set up the construction site at the site. The total area that will be occupied by the construction is 120 thousand square meters that belong to CelgPAR, and, according to the projection, during the foundation of the plant, around 200 direct jobs will be generated.
