Sign up for the IFBA selection process! Free online (EAD) postgraduate course in Management for Professional and Technological Education.
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Bahia (IFBA) announced the opening of the Simplified Student Selection Process for the free Lato Sensu Postgraduate course in Management for Professional and Technological Education (EPT). With 200 vacancies available, the course is offered online (EAD), with mandatory face-to-face meetings.
The specialization aims to promote improvement knowledge in the area of Professional and Technological Education Management (EPT), providing theoretical-critical and practical reflections on democratic and participatory management. The free online postgraduate course (EAD) lasts 18 months and has a total workload of 360 hours, plus the preparation of a Course Conclusion Paper (TCC). Activities include classes, forums, seminars and assessments, carried out in a virtual learning environment, in addition to mandatory face-to-face meetings.

The Federal Institute-IFBA offers a total of 200 places, distributed among six centers of the Open University of Brazil (UAB) in Bahia:

If a center does not reach the minimum number of 25 registered candidates, the vacancies may be redistributed to centers with a greater number of registered candidates.
Selection process
The selection process will be carried out in two stages:
- Approval of Application – Verification of required documentation and compliance with basic requirements.
- Analysis of Professional Experience – Assessment of the candidates’ experience in EPT management, educational management and teaching. The score will be distributed as follows:
- Experience in EPT management: 2 points per full year (maximum 50 points);
- Experience in educational management: 1 point per completed year (maximum of 30 points);
- Teaching experience: 0,5 points per completed year (maximum of 20 points).
45% of the vacancies will be reserved for general competition, 30% will be reserved for affirmative actions and 25% for IFBA employees.
Application requirements
To participate in the selection process, candidates must be Brazilian-born or naturalized, be up to date with electoral obligations and hold a degree in any field of knowledge issued by an institution recognized by the MEC. Candidates must have access to the internet and a computer to follow the online activities (EAD), as well as be available to attend the mandatory in-person meetings.
Selection Process Schedule
- 12/02 to 26/02/2025 – Registration period
- 06/03/2025 – Announcement of the preliminary result of the 1st stage (Approval of applications)
- 11/03/2025 – Announcement of the preliminary result of the 2nd stage (Analysis of professional experience)
- 25/03/2025 – Publication of the final result
