Engine of the new RAV4: power and sustainability go hand in hand

Speaking of the engine, the RAV4 comes with one combustion engine 2.5 L DOHC, 4 cylinders, 16V/VVT-iE, and it doesn't stop there: there's more three electric motors to give that extra gas. And the best of all? You don't need to charge it from the socket, the regenerative braking does the job.

But what is regenerative braking? When you steps on the brakes of a car common, the kinetic energy (which is the energy of the car in motion) is converted into heat by the brakes and is basically lost in the air. Already in one car with regenerative braking, when you brake, this kinetic energy is transformed back into electrical energy.

It electrical energy generated is used to recharge the car battery. So, instead of wasting energy every time you brake, the car reuses it, which is a pretty smart move, right?

This helps increase the vehicle's efficiency, saving energy and increasing battery life. It's as if the car has a way of recharging itself a little whenever you slow down or stop. Pretty cool, right?

Fuel efficiency: savings on your pocket and respect for the planet

O best before date? Ah, she gets ready: 17,1 km/l in the city and 14,5 km/l on the highway. Not to mention the electronic system that optimizes fuel efficiency. It’s savings and respect for the environment in the same package.

It's the price? Well the new RAV4 it costs R$ 343.090,00. It may seem expensive, but with the payment conditions that Toyota offers, it becomes easier to take this dream home.
