This initiative is part of Notice 33/2024 and provides a total of 1.300 vacancies in several higher education courses, distributed in several cities in the state of Sergipe.
The opportunity is unmissable for anyone who wants to enter a teaching career, with 970 of these vacancies intended exclusively for undergraduate courses, such as Literature, History, Geography, Mathematics and Biological Sciences.

Those courses are mainly aimed at teacher training and other Education professionals, allowing students to specialize in specific areas of knowledge, contributing to improving the quality of education in Brazil.
Details of the courses offered
The 10 EAD Degree courses offered by UFS cover different areas of knowledge. Each course has limited places, distributed among different face-to-face support centers. Below, check the list of courses and the respective cities where the vacancies are available:
- Degree in Portuguese Literature: Arauá, Colônia 13 – Lagarto, Nossa Senhora das Dores, Poço Verde, São Cristóvão (20 places in each city).
- Degree in Spanish Literature: Arauá, Brejo Grande, Nossa Senhora das Dores, Porto da Folha (20 places in each city).
- Degree in English Literature: Brejo Grande, Estância, Nossa Senhora da Glória, Poço Verde (20 places in each city).
- Degree in History: Arauá, Brejo Grande, Estância, Colônia 13 – Lagarto, Nossa Senhora das Dores, São Cristóvão, São Domingos (20 places in each city).
- Degree in Philosophy: Brejo Grande, Estância, Nossa Senhora das Dores, Nossa Senhora da Glória, Porto da Folha (20 places in each city).
- Degree in Geography: Estancia, Nossa Senhora da Glória, São Cristóvão (20 places in each city).
- Degree in Mathematics: Estancia, Colônia 13 – Lagarto, Nossa Senhora das Dores, Nossa Senhora da Glória, São Cristóvão (20 places in each city).
- Degree in Physics: Arauá, Estância, Colônia 13 – Lagarto (25 places in each city).
- Degree in Chemistry: Arauá, Estância, Colônia 13 – Lagarto, Porto da Folha (25 places in each city).
- Degree in Biological Sciences: Arauá, Poço Verde (20 places in each city).
How to apply and what to expect from the selection process
Registration for these courses is now open and must be done exclusively by Portal of the UFS Competitions and Entrance Exams Commission until the day August 23th, 2024. To register, you must pay a registration fee of R$40,00.
The selection process will consist of a test that will assess knowledge in several areas, such as Portuguese Language, Mathematics, Geography, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, History, in addition to an essay.
The difficulty level of the questions will be equivalent to High School, ensuring that all candidates receive a fair assessment compatible with their knowledge.
Graduation results and enrollment
The classification of candidates interested in becoming a teacher will be based on the grades obtained in the test, and the results will be published on the selection process website, in descending order of scores.
According to the notice, enrollment of those approved will follow the institutional academic calendar, which may undergo adjustments if necessary.
