Registration is open for 2.160 places on free Brazilian Sign Language courses, promoting inclusion and communication in the state!

A Pernambuco Department of Education starts registration for free Libras courses, offering a unique opportunity for those interested in learning how to Brazilian Sign Language.

With a total of 2.160 vacancies available, the course is aimed at beginner classes at basic level 1, covering several locations in the state.

Registration details and locations

Registrations started today (Monday, February 10th) and can be carried out at the headquarters of Regional Education Management or directly at participating schools.

This process aims to facilitate access to the courses and ensure that a greater number of people can benefit from this essential training.

Start and duration of the sign language course

As classes are scheduled to begin in February 17, with a total workload of 60 hours, distributed throughout five months.

This course is an excellent opportunity for those who want to improve their communication skills with the deaf community or consider a career as a Libras translator or instructor.

The training covers not only the basic understanding of signs, but also cultural and social aspects of the deaf community, promoting a broader and more inclusive understanding.

Content and methodology of the sign language course

The programme of Pounds is carefully structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of the language.

Participants will learn about grammatical structure, facial and body expressions, and basic vocabulary in Libras.

The methodology involves practical classes, interactive exercises and group activities to ensure dynamic and effective learning.

The instructors are qualified professionals, with extensive experience in the area, ensuring a high standard of teaching.

Specialized training at the Support Center for the Deaf

In addition to the vacancies for beginners, EES offers courses in Training for Libras Translators/Interpreters e Training for Libras Instructors No. Support Center for the Deaf (CAS/PE), located in Specialized Educational Assistance Center of Recife (CAEER), in the Casa Amarela neighborhood.

Registration for these specialized courses is done exclusively online, allowing a wider audience to register without the need for physical travel.

These advanced courses are designed to train professionals to work in educational, institutional and community environments, expanding access to communication for the deaf.
