If you dream of studying at USP, you better pay attention! The largest university in Latin America is accepting applications for 8 places, but the deadline is fast approaching.

With a unique opportunity for those who want to join the renowned University of São Paulo (USP) in 2025, the Deadline for registration is this Tuesday, October 08th.

If you miss this deadline, your dream could be postponed until next year.

The vacancies are being offered through the traditional Fuvest entrance exam, the main entry route to university.

In total, there are 8.147 vacancies distributed across more than 180 courses, covering areas such as biological, exact and human sciences, available in seven cities in the state of São Paulo.

The candidate has the chance to compete for courses spread across units in Bauru, Lorena, Piracicaba, Pirassununga, Ribeirão Preto, São Carlos and, of course, São Paulo.

Fuvest offers opportunities for different candidate profiles

The Fuvest selection process is the main gateway to USP, and 8.147 available places represent the largest offer of places at the university.

These vacancies are divided to cover different candidate profiles:

  • 4.888 vacancies for broad competition;
  • 2.053 vacancies intended for candidates who attended high school in public schools;
  • 1.206 vacancies reserved for candidates who self-declare as black, brown or indigenous, also from public schools.

In addition to these, another 3 thousand vacancies are offered by USP through the Enem-USP selection process and the Provão Paulista, which expands opportunities for students.

Registration and important dates

Registration for the Fuvest 2025 entrance exam opened on August 19 and must be completed by this Tuesday, October 08th.

It is essential that interested parties complete their registration within this deadline, as well as pay the fee, which is R$211. Anyone who misses this date will be out of the competition to enter USP next year..

According to Fuvest, candidates who requested a fee reduction can now check whether they were considered.

Those who received an exemption must register normally, also by October 08th. All this information is available in the Candidate Area on the official Fuvest website.

How the entrance exam works

The Fuvest entrance exam is made up of two phases. first phase, which occurs on the day 17 November, consists of a test of general knowledge with multiple choice questions.

Only the best ranked advance to the second phase, which will be held on the days 15 and 16 December.

This stage includes an essay and specific tests according to the course chosen by the candidate.

For some courses, such as Music, it is still necessary to pass a test. specific skills, which will be applied on the days December 9 e January 9, depending on the chosen career.

To facilitate the registration process and help in choosing careers, Fuvest has made four free thematic guides.

These materials can be downloaded from the official website and are divided into specific categories, aiming to assist candidates in each phase of the entrance exam:

  • Inclusion Guide: addresses affirmative actions and special conditions for taking tests;
  • Career Guide: provides information about available courses and possible careers for enrollment;
  • Journey Guide: details the stages of the entrance exam, from registration to enrollment;
  • Test Guide: explains the format of the first and second phase tests, in addition to specific assessments for certain courses.

These guides are extremely useful for candidates to prepare in the best possible way and avoid mistakes that could compromise their performance in the entrance exam.

Other opportunities: Enem-USP and Provão Paulista

If you do not intend to take the Fuvest exam, there are still other options for entering USP.

The Enem-USP process, which uses the National High School Exam score, also offers places to candidates, being another gateway to university.

Selection usually takes place in December, after the release of the Enem scores.

In addition, there is the Provão Paulista, a serial assessment aimed at students from municipal and state schools in São Paulo.

USP keeps part of its places reserved for this process, increasing the chances for students from the public school system.

Pay attention to the deadline!

For those who want to enter USP in 2025, time is running out! Registration for the Fuvest entrance exam closes this Tuesday, October 08th, and the registration fee must be paid by that date.

Visit the Fuvest website, fill out the form and guarantee your participation in this, the largest entrance exam in the country. Don't leave it until the last minute, because the opportunity to enter the best university in Latin America depends on your immediate action.
