The government of the province of Flanders has presented an initiative that offers scholarships for students from all over the world, including Brazilians, who wish to pursue their master's degrees at universities located in the Flanders region. It's the chance to experience a unique academic experience in one of the most vibrant countries in Europe.

Scholarships in Belgium: An open path for Brazilian students

The scholarships exclusively cover renowned universities located in Flanders, providing access to 12 institutions of excellence, such as the prestigious University of Antwerp and the renowned University from Brussels. The full list of participating institutions is available on the program's official website, offering a variety of options for future master's students.

Value of scholarships in Belgium: An incentive for academic success

Os students recipients may receive up to €10 per academic year, plus an additional €1.500 allowance for relocation costs. It is worth noting that, within this amount, the higher education institution can request an annual fee of €131,50 to cover administrative expenses.

If you want to apply for one of these scholarships in Belgium, it is essential to meet the established prerequisites. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the English language, obtaining at least 90 points on the TOEFL or achieving a score of 6,5 on the IELTS. In addition, it is necessary to present an academic record with a minimum average of 3,5 on a 4-point scale.

Registration open: How to apply for a scholarship in Belgium?

To apply, interested parties must submit a series of documents, including a recent photo, passport pages, diploma and academic transcripts in French, English or Dutch. Furthermore, candidates must write a motivation letter in English and request two letters of recommendation from university professors.

Registration will remain open until April 28th, however, it is crucial to apply to your chosen university within the stipulated deadline. The selection of candidates will take place in May, with the announcement of selected students scheduled for June.
