São Paulo State University (UNESP) is offering a tenured professor position with attractive salaries; applications open until February 2, 2025.

The São Paulo State University (UNESP) opened a public tender to fill a vacancy for a full professor position in the Department of Physical Education at the Faculty of Sciences, on the Bauru Campus. The opportunity is part of a public selection process that aims to select a professor with relevant academic and scientific experience.

About the UNESP public competition

Registration for the UNESP competition begins on December 20, 2024 and runs until February 2, 2025.

A vacancy is for the position of full-time professor, with a salary of up to R$23.039,56.

The public competition will select a professor to teach the subject “Regulation of Autonomous Activity and Blood Flow during Rest and Physical Exercise”, one of the vacancies offered by the State University for the Bauru campus.

To participate in the public competition, candidates must have the title of associate professor obtained from UNESP, USP or Unicamp, with at least six years of obtaining the title.

In addition, it is necessary to be accredited in a stricto sensu postgraduate program and have published at least 20 scientific papers or works in the area.

The registration fee is R$263,00, and registrations must be made exclusively through the UNESP website.

Structure of the public tender exams

The UNESP public competition will consist of three main stages.

The first will be the Title Test, where the Detailed Memorial will be analyzed, which must show the scientific production, the teaching and academic activities, as well as the candidate's experience in teaching and research management.

As vacancies offered require candidates to have demonstrated qualifications in the areas of teaching and extension.

The second stage of the public competition will be the Didactic Test, where the candidate must teach a class, at postgraduate level, on the topic of his/her choice.

The class will last between 50 and 60 minutes, and this stage will be public. The objective is to assess the candidate's ability to act as a teacher.

The third stage will be the Memorial Argumentation Test, where the candidate will explain his/her academic activities, from obtaining the title of associate professor until the moment of registration for the public competition.

These tests are an essential part of the selection process for the teaching position.

Registration and deadline for candidates

Those interested in registering for the UNESP public competition must register between December 20, 2024 and February 2, 2025, exclusively through the website.
