Ecovix is about to invoice repair and maintenance works for ships that provide services to Petrobras
Grupo Ecovix said that there are advanced negotiations to repair two more vessels at the Naval Shipyard: the Siem Helix II, a well stimulation vessel that operates for Petrobras in the Campos Basin, as well as the Siem Helix I; and Seven Waves, from Subsea 7, which also operates with the Brazilian state-owned company, as a pipeline support vessel (PLSV).
If Ecovix wins the contracts, the new repair works should guarantee the maintenance of the approximately 500 jobs generated for the service, at least until the first quarter of 2022, in addition to moving the economy of Rio Grande. “The confirmation of these investments will reinforce the Shipyard's relevance in this market, as well as the diversification of activities, bringing good prospects for the entire region”, points out Robson Passos.
Remembering that, on the 28th of August, the Rio Grande Shipyard resumed operating with naval services with the arrival of the Siem Helix I, which will remain in place for the next few days. The service is provided in partnership with dockbrasil, a company from Rio de Janeiro that works with ship repair.
