Eletrobras Alternatives

The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) is conducting research to present alternatives for Eletrobras and its subsidiaries Eletronuclear and Itaipu. Ferreira Júnior informed that the most obvious action was the split of Eletrobras.

Ferreira Júnior, says that “You create a company Eletrobras B and put Eletronuclear and Itaipu at the bottom. Shareholders are the same. It is as if it were a mirror company, with the current Eletrobras B on one side and Eletronuclear and Itaipu on the other. The same shareholders are the owners of these two assets, with the stake they have today”.
