The Concrete Plant for concreting the works project is already finished and will go through the testing phase. Eletronuclear is now investing in accelerating the resumption of Angra 3 to ensure more energy security in the Rio de Janeiro region.
The search for the return of the production of nuclear energy and the use of the plants in Angra dos Reis, in Rio de Janeiro, continues at full speed. The company Eletronuclear released a new episode of the documentary series “Angra 3 Tá ON”. In it, the company shares new details about the progress of the works project for the resumption of Angra 3. Angra 3 resumption project is advanced and Eletronuclear is preparing to start the concreting phase soon
Eletronuclear is finalizing all preparations for the resumption of the Angra 3 works project with the start of the concreting phase in the coming months.
The company released a video of the documentary series Angra 3 Tá On and revealed how the energy production project located in Rio de Janeiro is progressing.
- Bridge costing almost R$400 million in Brazil will connect cities, generate jobs and its construction can be monitored in real time
- The Central Bank announced that the new Pix refund mechanism, called MED 2.0, will be launched at the end of 2025, causing surprise among Brazilians
- Bradesco injects R$1 BILLION into Energisa's stake in the Northeast to contribute to expansion in the energy sector
- Collectors are looking for these 1 real coins and paying up to R$6.000 for each
The current moment is focused on finalizing the Concrete Plant, which is already ready, but still needs to go through the commissioning and testing phases to verify the final quality.
When this stage is completed, the concrete produced on site can be cast, thus marking the resumption of the work.
In this way, the company will be able to start the concreting phase, the last stage in the construction of structural elements in a work.
It consists of pouring concrete over the construction structure (slabs, beams and pillars, for example), until it dries, thus ensuring the entire basis for following up on the project.
Eletronuclear then seeks to finalize this stage in order to be able to accelerate all the following phases until the end of the project.
Angra 3 will be able to generate more than 12 million megawatts per year after completion of the works project
Eletronuclear's works project for the resumption of Angra 3 in the coming years aims to ensure more energy security in the region of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
That's because Angra 3 will generate 12 million megawatts per year, enough energy to simultaneously supply the cities of Belo Horizonte and Brasília.
The commissioning and testing phase of the Concrete Plant should already be completed and, in the next few days, the company will be able to start the concreting phase of the works.
Eletronuclear is just waiting for a release from the National Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN), the body that regulates the Brazilian nuclear segment.
As soon as the company begins this phase, the so-called “Angra 3 Acceleration Plan” will be put into practice. It aims to advance work on Angra 3 in some stages, thus ensuring more acceleration in the project.
One of the main works foreseen in the plan is the conclusion of the concrete superstructure of the plant's reactor building.
