The dream of becoming a super video game player is closer than ever, and that's thanks to Elon Musk. Imagine a world where anyone can beat the best eSports players without lifting a finger.

It seems like science fiction, but the visionary South African businessman claims that this will soon be reality with the use of Neuralink brain chips, his most daring technological venture.

If Elon Musk is right, chips not only will transform the lives of people with disabilities, but will also usher in a new era of superhumans with expanded cognitive abilities. And it doesn't stop there. Elon Musk has even more surprises in store about the future of connected humanity.

In a recent interview with computer scientist Lex Friedman, Elon Musk shared his revolutionary vision for how Neuralink chips could change the game — literally.

He said that in a year or two, someone with a Neuralink implant could outperform professional gamers. “We are very confident that, perhaps next year or two years, someone with a Neuralink implant will be able to outperform a pro gamer,” declared Elon Musk.

The technology behind this claim is based on ultra-fast communication between the human brain and the chip, promising reaction times that challenge the natural capacity of the human body. According to Elon Musk, this communication can be three to six times faster than the human brain can perform alone.

Incredible perks for players and more

The first person to receive a Neuralink chip, Noland Arbaugh, is already reaping the fruits of this innovation. Quadriplegic, Arbaugh celebrates his victories in video games, something he never imagined possible before the implant. At 30 years old, he has already been using the chip for six months and is proud of his new achievements, such as surfing the web, sending text messages and even playing chess — all using just his mind.

“I'm beating my friends in games that, as a quadriplegic, I wouldn't be able to beat,” celebrates Arbaugh. With the help of the Neuralink chip, he now lives in a world of previously unimaginable possibilities.

The future of “cyborgs” and Elon Musk’s vision

Elon Musk's idea is clear: to transform society and bring the concept of futuristic cyborgs closer to our everyday reality. “Yes, we will be something different. Somehow, futuristic cyborgs… it’s not that far away, in around 10 to 15 years, this type of leap will be seen”, he commented, highlighting the potential for technology to evolve in the coming years.

Furthermore, Neuralink is not the only bet Elon Musk for a future where humans and machines integrate. Tesla, one of the other companies under the billionaire's umbrella, is developing humanoid robots. The Optimus project promises to be “your children's nanny in the future”, according to Musk. With so many ambitious projects underway, Musk seems determined to shape a world where science fiction becomes reality.

Ethical implications and challenges ahead

However, this innovation does not come without challenges and ethical considerations. The implementation of brain chips in healthy individuals raises questions about privacy, security and potential social inequality. Experts question how access to this technology can be regulated to prevent only a privileged elite from benefiting from it.

Additionally, there are concerns about the security of the data collected by the chips and the possibility of remote manipulation of brain functions. These questions need to be addressed as Neuralink advances its research and implementations.

The superhuman market

Elon Musk's ambition doesn't stop there. He plans to create a market around individuals interested in expanding their cognitive and motor skills through Neuralink technology. With the possibility of surpassing professional players and performing complex tasks with your mind, the demand for this innovation promises to grow exponentially.

Technological advances are increasingly present in everyday life, and the Neuralink project is an example of what the future holds. The idea that anyone can become a super player or perform previously unimaginable tasks opens up a range of possibilities and challenges for society.

Ultimately, Elon Musk's vision is a world where technology joins human beings to create new forms of interaction and productivity. The promise of overcoming physical and cognitive barriers is a dream that many share and that can redefine our existence.
