Eneva must decide in the coming weeks whether to present an offer in the process of selling Petrobrás Polo Urucu

According to Habibe regarding Eneva, the companies interested in the Petrobrás Urucu Hub are already in talks with Engie, operator of Transportadora Associada de Gás (TAG) about a possible expansion of the pipeline market to serve the asset. “This investment will be made by TAG, which will charge a tariff to be negotiated with the holder of the Petrobras gas molecule”, added Habibe.

The Urucu Hub comprises seven production concessions (Araracanga, Arara Azul, Carapanaúba, Cupiúba, Leste do Urucu, Rio Urucu, Sudoeste Urucu), all located in the state of Amazonas, in the municipalities of Tefé and Coari, occupying an area of approximately 350 km2 .

In the first half of 2020, the Complex's average production was 103 thousand boed, of which 16,2 thousand bpd of oil and condensate, 13,8 million m³/d of gas and 1,11 thousand ton/day of LPG.

In addition to the concessions and their production facilities, the transaction includes oil and natural gas production processing units and production support logistical facilities.

President of Eneva says that acquiring the Urucu hub is part of his company's growth strategy

The president of Eneva, Pedro Zinner, stated that Polo Urucu is in line with the company's growth strategy. “It's a big asset, even when compared to Petrobras' portfolio. We have the ability to operate it. Our great competitive advantage is that we have access to the gas molecule at a competitive price”, said Zinner.

Currently, Eneva is carrying out its first project in the North region, the development of Campo de Azulão, in Amazonas, also awarded in the Petrobras divestment process. The field will supply gas to the thermoelectric plant (UTE) Jaguatirica II, with 132,3 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity, under construction in Boa Vista, Roraima. The company maintains the projected start of the integrated operation for October 2021.
