Eneva discovers new gas and oil reserves in the Amazon Basin block, showing promising advances in recent exploration.
Eneva, one of the main players of the energy sector in Brazil, officially communicated to the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) the identification of promising signs of gas and oil in block AM-T-84, located in the rich and strategic Amazon Basin. This region, known for its vast energy potential, has been a strategic target for Eneva, which consolidates its presence by investing in explorations that boost national production.
The discovery took place through well 3-ENV-43D-AM, whose drilling began in July 2023.
This is the fourth discovery made by the company this year, all located in the Amazon Basin.
Eneva announced the discovery of gas in well 3-ENV-41D-AM, located in block AM-T-85 in May.
In April, also within the same block, Eneva reported another gas discovery through well 3-ENV-40D-AM.
In March, the company also notified, within the ambit of block AM-T-85, the identification of a gas reserve through well 3-ENV-39D-AM.
Eneva remains focused on activity, expansion and discoveries in the oil and gas field
At the end of 2020, during the Second Permanent Offer Cycle, Eneva acquired blocks AM-T-84 and AM-T-85.
With this acquisition, the company now owns seven fields in production in the Parnaíba Basin, including Gavião Real, Gavião Vermelho, Gavião Branco, Gavião Caboclo, Gavião Azul, Gavião Tesoura and Gavião Preto.
In addition to these, the Brazilian integrated energy company, Eneva, also has five fields under development: Gavião Branco Norte, Gavião Carijó, Gavião Belo and Gavião Mateiro in the Parnaíba Basin, in addition to the Azulão field, located in the Amazon Basin.
These advances consolidate Eneva's presence and growth in the energy scenario.
