To expand its portfolio in the oil market, Eneva is interested in the Petrobrás Polo de Urucu and has also signed an agreement with Companhia de Gás Natural do Amazonas

After the announcement that Petrobras will sell oil and gas fields in Amazonas, in addition to natural gas processing units (UPGNs), the eneva showed interest in buying these assets, according to information this Thursday (13).

The integrated oil and energy company was one of those qualified to compete in the process of selling Petrobras' stake in the Urucu Pole, which encompasses seven onshore oil and gas fields located in the Solimões Basin, in the state of Amazonas.

A eneva it also qualified to participate in the lease of Petrobras' liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Bahia. The bidding process for the regasification unit is scheduled for the end of September and has aroused the interest of ten groups of national and international investors.

According to the company's financial director, Marcelo Habibe, the eneva is keeping an eye on all the opportunities that arise in the market, not just Petrobras. However, according to the executive, it is still too early to speak, strengthening the interest in growth that generates value.

Eneva's integrated oil and gas project in Amazonas

A eneva already develops operations in Amazonas, through the exploration of Campo de Azulão, acquired from Petrobras in 2017, where it executes the integrated project “Azulão-Jaguaritica”. The venture will receive around R$ 1,9 billion in investments, and the start of energy delivery is scheduled for 2021.

This Wednesday (12), the Natural Gas Company of Amazonas (gygas) it's at eneva signed a contract for the purchase and sale of natural gas to be produced through the “Azulão-Jaguatirica” project. The gas produced in Campo de Azulão will be directed to the generation of thermal energy in Boa Vista (RR), at the Jaguatirica II Thermal Power Plant, also operated by eneva.
