Seagems: Awards and Recognition
In January 2024, Seagems, a Brazilian company specialized in subsea engineering solutions, was celebrated by Great Place to Work (GPTW) Brazil in an event held this Wednesday, July 31st. On the occasion, 80 companies in the state were awarded awards out of a total of 225 competitors. Seagems stood out for achieving 13th place among large companies. This recognition marks the sixth consecutive year that the company has been recognized as an excellent company to work for by GPTW.

Furthermore, Seagems was recognized as a national highlight in Emotional Health. This Brazilian company specializing in underwater engineering solutions has its organizational culture based on the motto 'We take care of each other', with an emphasis on the safety and well-being of its employees, promoting healthy and productive interpersonal relationships.
Commitment and Continuous Development
'Being in the GPTW ranking reaffirms Seagems' commitment to the safety, well-being and continuous development of our team. We demonstrate, therefore, not only excellence in our operational deliveries, with sustainable and innovative practices, but also in the care for each person who is part of our company', comments Glaucia Maciel, human resources director from Seagems.
Recognition by Great Place to Work not only exalts excellence in dealing with its employees, but also highlights the effectiveness of welfare policies implemented by Seagems. The low turnover rate for the year, just 3,9%, is a reflection of the company's employee satisfaction.
Another indication of success was the invitation that the Seagems HR team received from Sapura Energy, one of its shareholders, to give a talk on how to be a GPTW at an internal event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, during this month.
Outstanding Seal in Emotional Health
Seagems was also awarded the Highlight in Emotional Health seal again. This honor is the result of a partnership between Great People Mental Health and Great Place to Work Brasil, whose objective is to recognize organizations that offer the best care for people.
Of the 80 companies participating in the state awards event, only seven achieved this distinction. In 2022, the company had already been recognized as a highlight in Healthy Management by GPTW, mainly due to employee care measures during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Currently, all Seagems professionals, as well as their dependents and parents, have the right to psychological assistance remote access provided by the company through a dedicated program. Seagems continues to grow rapidly, competing with major global leaders in the subsea construction sector,' he concludes.

Improvements in Management and Quality of Life
Focused on increasing the productivity and quality of life of its employees, Seagems implemented the program last year Adding by Subtracting. The central proposal of this program is to simplify processes through continuous review, exploring advanced technologies, including AI solutions.
With this philosophy, the company aims to optimize the workload, identifying and eliminating superfluous and non-productive activities, making daily life easier (amplifying routines to reduce efforts and increase efficiency) and promoting continuous improvement of internal processes. Such an approach is encouraged by the ESSA methodology (Eliminate, Simplify, Standardize and Automate).
To further improve the quality of the work environment, Seagems also recently implemented the platform fiter, a SaaS software that measures employees' 'Pulse of Happiness' on a quarterly basis through the combination of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and neuroscience concepts.
