Find out all about the event scheduled to run through Thursday, June 16th.

Exponor 2022 is an event aimed at the mining public and will take place in Antofagasta, Chile. Many companies located in Brazil should participate and are positive as a sector. The duration will last until the 16th of the same month and will address the use of robots to carry out refrigeration and cleaning of panels in industry, generation of renewable energy and several other researches. Projections are satisfactory, estimating that business generation will be US$ 850 million per year.

Data show that mining remained stagnant during 2021 due to the pandemic and the difficulty in maintaining productivity in previous years, causing a reduction of 11% less than what was necessary to satisfy the industry. The lack of raw materials even harmed Elon Musk, billionaire and owner of Tesla, who, in a constitutional email, told the company's top echelon that they should pause hiring in order to maintain cash stability in the midst of a crisis. The break in hiring, according to him, should be 10%. Materials became more expensive and the impact also fell on coal, which had a cumulative increase over the last 52 weeks of 103%.

What are the expectations with Exponor 2022?

Predicted to take place in four days, Exponor 2022 will have at least 700 exhibitors and more than 40 visitors. In short, 19 major projects will be presented that could significantly automate mining, not only in Brazil, but on a global scale, making it more sustainable and viable for the environment.

In this current edition, the country should be represented by strong brands in the market, such as Henfel, Netzsch, Neuman & Esser, Porta Cabos and Steinert.  Netzsch stated that it should present the PERIPROTM NETZSCH Peristaltic Pump as one of its main launches, they allow for greater water movement over the medium, increasing productivity in the mines. They are safer and more agile in terms of operation.

The Brazil Machinery Solutions Program (BMS), a fruit built through a partnership between ABIMAQ and Apex Brasil, should also be part of the exhibition that takes place this Monday, June 13, in Chile.

A Neuman & Esser  is also a Brazilian company that should be part of the exhibition. In short, it has developed a process that will make the grinding of minerals simpler and easier, without having so much waste to carry it out. This process developed by Neuman & Esser can be used in any industry that contains non-metallic minerals, as in the case of lithium and calcium. Thais Bonini, the company's Foreign Trade coordinator, is positive about the exhibition and claims that it is a good alternative to show the brand's projects.

Currently, Brazil is one of the largest exporters of metals and civil construction machinery to Chile, with a range of more than 189 million dollars, this value is 26% more than in the previous year. One of the main destinations for metals produced through mining is the United States, which buys more than 340 million dollars, having a participation above one fifth of the Brazilian market. Meanwhile, it is worth noting that Paraguay has a lower value of Brazilian imports, at US$9 million, and Mexico had a market share of the mining economy above US$9,9 million.
