Faetec Rio opens more than 7.000 vacancies in free technical and specialization courses; there are vacancies without a selection process for those who wish to complete primary and secondary education

Faetec opens more than 7 thousand vacancies throughout the State of Rio for Basic Education, Technical Level Specialization and Higher Education! 

Faetec, an agency linked to the State Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (Secti), announced the opening of a public notice for entry in 2023 in all units in the State of Rio de Janeiro. There are more than 7.000 vacancies open for the 2023 school year by the Technical School Support Foundation for Basic Education, Technical Level Specialization and Higher Education. Secure your place!

According to the notice, the 7.070 vacancies opened by Faetec Rio will be distributed among the segments: Early Childhood Education; Elementary School; High School (General Training, Normal Middle Level and Integrated); Middle Level Technician (External and Subsequent Concomitance); Technical Level Specialization; and Higher Education.

“We are offering more than seven thousand opportunities for the population of Rio de Janeiro to have access to free quality education. It is rewarding to know that more than seven thousand people will have the chance of a better life, with education”, declared Iranildo Campos, president of Faetec.

According to the Announcement, 40% of the 7.070 vacancies are allocated to the quota system, reserved for candidates who are proven to be socioeconomically disadvantaged and who compete in public schools or black/brown/indigenous people.

For those who wish to participate in a vacancy for Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education (Isepam, Iserj and EEEF Antônio Sarlo) and Secondary Education (General and Normal Education), the selection process will take place through a draw. Candidates for other Faetec units will undergo an objective assessment, to be held on January 29th. Candidates will also write an essay, in addition to the objective test.

It is worth mentioning that, if the vacancies are not filled in their entirety, they may be made available to other approved candidates and classified on the waiting list.
