O Federal government agreed and authorized the implementation of the gasoline allowance last Friday (27). The benefit can now undergo a faster analysis in the National Congress and according to data released by CNN Brazil, members of the Ministry of Economy gave the green light for parliamentarians to approve the text in the Chamber of Deputies. The text that creates the gasoline allowance has already been approved by the Federal Senate in April. However, the text remains stuck in the Chamber of Deputies for about 4 weeks. There was great doubt by all regarding the Federal Government's position on the benefit, which could be decisive for the approval of the project.
Gasoline allowance will be worth BRL 300 per month
Currently, the government base in both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate is a majority when compared to the opposition numbers. In this way, if the Federal Government did not agree with the text, the chances of approval of the gasoline aid would be lower, considering that the project would not have the government votes.
The central idea of the gasoline allowance is to pay a type of voucher of R$ 300 per month to workers who need their own means of transport to work. Therefore, this list would include taxi drivers, app drivers and even motorcycle taxi drivers. The Senate passed the bill due to the increase in diesel price.

According to data released by CNN Brasil, the “approval” of the Federal Government for the implementation of the gasoline aid came from the Ministry of Economy. The folder believes that there is room in the budget for transfers and, in addition, the “political wing” of the Planalto also foresees the need for new signs for drivers when there is an increase in fuel prices.
More benefits will arrive with a focus on truck drivers
CNN Brasil highlighted that the Federal Government gave the green light for the approval of a aid for truck drivers, however, there is still no prediction of values for this public, but the internal assessment is that truck drivers need benefits, in view of the current Brazilian scenario.
In general, the Federal Government's objective is to pay the benefit in the form of a voucher, in monthly amounts that can reach up to R$ 400. However, the final definition of the amount depends on several budget points.
In this specific case, the Federal Government plans to wait for the 'dust to settle' in the category of truck drivers to try to avoid any strike movement among workers.
