In a decision that took many by surprise, IFPE announced last Friday (23) the extension of registrations for the selection process that seeks coordinators for the Open University System of Brazil (UAB), a project linked to the the Ministry of Education (MEC):.
With the extension, the deadline for registration in the selection process for distance learning course coordinators runs until September 1st. Immediate vacancies and for reserve registration are being offered.
The position requires a stricto sensu postgraduate degree and experience in higher education, with remuneration between R$1.550 and R$2.000, depending on the role.

The role of Course Coordinator II, for example, requires a stricto sensu postgraduate degree, in addition to a minimum of one year's experience in higher education.
The Course Coordinator I must have at least three years of experience in higher education. Other criteria include not being enrolled in any distance learning course at IFPE and being linked to training programs teachers for basic education developed by MEC.
Scholarship values and working hours
The remuneration offered to coordinators varies depending on the candidate's experience. For the role of Coordinator I, the scholarship value is R$2.000, while for Coordinator II, the remuneration is R$1.550.
Both positions require dedication of 20 hours per week, with mandatory presence at the headquarters of the IFPE Distance Education Directorate (DEaD), preferably distributed over a daily shift.
Registration and Fees
Those interested in participating in the selection process must register by September 1st, through the official IFPE website (http://selecoes.ead.ifpe.edu.br), according to the criteria and instructions described in the notice.
The registration fee is R$50, and payment must be made exclusively at Banco do Brasil branches, by September 2nd, through the Federal Collection Guide (GRU).
Curriculum analysis and results
The selection of candidates at the Federal Institute will be based on a detailed curriculum analysis, which will consider academic training, professional experience, participation in academic events and volunteer activities.
The preliminary result is scheduled to be released on September 16th, with the possibility of filing appeals on the 17th. The final result will be released on September 18th, defining the professionals who will take over coordinating the courses.
