The Federal Institute of Brasília (IFB) is offering hundreds of free places on courses in various areas. The Federal Institute of Brasília (IFB) has more than 200 free places in higher education courses and training for teachers in four administrative regions of the Federal District. Registration for free IFB courses must be made through the Unified Selection System (SISU).
List of free courses open at the Federal Institute open in 2024
In total, 203 free places will be offered for courses at the Federal Institute of graduation. The places on the free courses will be for four of the ten IFB units in the DF, namely Ceilândia, Estrutural, Gama and Planaltina. Among the courses offered are:
Degree in Literature-Spanish at IFB Campus Ceilândia
This course aims to train teachers to work in Basic Education, from an interdisciplinary curricular perspective that follows new teaching precepts, combining teaching practice with the context and needs of society.

Degree in Mathematics
It aims to train Mathematics teachers for Basic Education, that is, to work from the sixth to the ninth year of Elementary School and in the three years of High School, aware of their role as educator and committed to the dissemination of mathematical knowledge as a trainer in the exercise.
Business Administration
It aims to train professional citizens with extensive knowledge of Public Administration, capable of working at the federal, state and municipal levels, competently managing governmental and non-governmental organizations, in a proactive, democratic and ethical manner.
Agroecology at IFB
It aims to encourage and contribute to the production of scientific knowledge in the field of Agroecology, promote agroecology taking into account its different dimensions, organize meetings and congresses, such as the Brazilian Congress of Agroecology, for debate and presentation of works on Agroecology, edit and disseminate work on the subject and fight for the protection of agrobiodiversity.
Registration for courses at the Federal Institute of Brasília
Those interested in free places at the IFB must have taken some edition of the National High School Exam (Enem) and register through Sisu. The selection process for free courses is simple, and all necessary information, including deadlines and specific requirements, is available on the official selection website.
The candidate will submit only one of the courses at the Federal Institute per Campus. The candidate's documentary submission implies knowledge and acceptance of all the conditions established in this document.
Analysis of documentary submissions, online or in person according to the Campus, will be carried out by the Campus Academic Records. Documents required to register for free courses include:
- Valid official identification document with photo;
- High school graduation certificate or equivalent, obtained by the date of registration;
- Two identical and recent 3×4 photos;
- Certificate of Reservist or Discharge from the Corporation, for men over 18 years of age.
IFB also offers other free places
In addition to these vacancies in courses at the Federal Institute, the IFB, in partnership with the State University of Western Paraná (Unioeste), is offering a Free online training course for mathematics teachers. The course focuses on teachers in the final years of Elementary School and aims to promote creativity in teaching mathematics.
