The Federal Institute of MT has hundreds of free technical and higher education courses. Free courses at Instituto Federal are for different areas and are available on several campuses in the state, check out how to register.
The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso (IFMT) is open for registration for more than 800 places in free technical and higher education courses. The registration period for each level of free courses varies. In this article we have separated the main details of the free courses at Instituto Federal from technical to higher education so that you can sign up and start studying.
Free technical courses from the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso available
The registration period for free technical level courses It runs until March 25th this year. In total, there are 160 vacancies distributed on the Cuiabá Bela Vista and Várzea Grande campuses, in accordance with what the notice describes. 02/2024. On the campuses of the Federal Institute of Cuiabá Bela Vista, it is possible to choose between free technical courses in Environment (35 places) or Chemistry (35 places).
On the Várzea Grande campus, places on free technical and higher education courses are for Civil Construction Design (30), Logistics (30) and Buildings (30) courses. It is worth mentioning that it is necessary to pay the registration fee of R$50. Until March 8th, it is possible to request exemption from paying the registration fee through the Instituto Federal do Mato Grosso website.

Subsequent Technical Courses
Registration for free courses at the Federal Institute of subsequent level remains open until April 1, 2024. In total, there are 175 places distributed on the Cáceres campuses – Prof. Olegário Baldo, Cuiabá – Col. Octayde Jorge da Silva and São Vicente, according to notice 03/2024.
On the Cuiabá Octayde campus, vacancies are for technical courses in Surveying (25), Buildings (25), Electronics (25) and Electrotechnics (25). On the Cáceres campus, the opportunities are for the technical course in Agriculture (40 places) and on the São Vicente campus the technical course in Animal Husbandry opens 35 places.
The selection process for free technical and higher education courses will be through curricular analysis (of academic records) of the 1st and 2nd years of high school, attended regularly or through Provão certification, via the National Examination for Certification of Skills for Young People and Adults ( ENCCEJA).
To enroll in free courses at the Federal Institute, the candidate must fill out the registration form, attach their high school transcript and documents relating to quotas, if they are a quota holder. If you opt for broad competition, you must only send your academic transcript. Candidates must fill out the socioeconomic questionnaire on the IFMT website, print the bank slip and pay the fee of R$50.
Undergraduate courses
Registration for this selection process ends on April 4th this year. In total, there are 500 places in free technical and higher education courses divided into the following campuses: Alta Floresta, Campo Novo do Parecis, Cuiabá, Bela Vista, Cuiabá Cel. Octayde Jorge da Silva and Várzea Grande. On the Cáceres campus, there are 40 opportunities for the technical course in Agriculture. And on the São Vicente campus, 35 for the technical course in Animal Science.

The Octayde Campus offers places for six bachelor's degrees: Civil Engineering (40 places), Computer Engineering (40), Electrical Engineering (35), Executive Secretariat (35), Control and Automation Engineering (35) and Tourism (40).
IFMT Várzea Grande still has vacancies for technology in Public Management (35). Alta Flores has 35 vacancies for technology in Human Resources Management. In Campo Novo do Parecis, 35 for a bachelor's degree in Agronomy. The candidate must register for free courses at the Federal Institute identifying the year of registration for ENEM 2011 or later (2011 to 2023) with which they wish to compete. No registration fee will be charged.
