The Federal Institute reopens registration for more than 400 vacancies in free technical and higher education courses! Don't waste time and secure your place right now! Visit the website and check out all the details!

Have you thought about starting a free technical or higher education course this semester? For those looking for this opportunity, the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS) has just reopened registrations for more than 400 vacancies in face-to-face courses.

Vacancies will be filled in order of registration, therefore, the faster you act, the greater your chances of securing a place.

Who can participate?

Candidates who wish to apply for higher education vacancies must meet certain criteria. To sign up, it is necessary to have participated in an IFRS selection exam, from the 2019/1 selection process, or to have taken the National High School Exam (Enem) in some edition from 2015 onwards, as long as you have not obtained a grade of zero in any of the tests, including the writing.

Attention: Enem or IFRS exam scores will not be used to classify candidates; the order of registration will be the decisive criterion.

Courses and vacancies available: a variety of options

The IFRS campuses spread across Rio Grande do Sul offer a wide variety of courses in different areas of knowledge. Below, we highlight some of the available vacancies:

  • Alvorada Campus: Libras Translation and Interpretation Technician (15 vacancies).
  • Bento Gonçalves Campus: Accommodation Technician (18 vacancies), Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy (10 vacancies), Degree in Pedagogy (18 vacancies).
  • Canoas Campus: Technology in Logistics (22 vacancies).
  • Porto Alegre Campus: Administration Technician – Youth and Adult Education (29 vacancies), Biotechnology Technician (10 vacancies), Occupational Safety Technician (19 vacancies).
  • Campus Restinga: Technology in Sports and Leisure Management (26 vacancies), Technician in Agroecology (10 vacancies).
  • Rio Grande Campus: Industrial Automation Technician (7 vacancies), Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician (24 vacancies).
  • Vacaria Campus: Degree in Pedagogy (15 places).
  • Viamão Campus: Administration Technician (7 vacancies).

These are just a few examples of the courses available. To obtain the complete list and details about each course, candidates should consult the notice available on the IFRS admission website.

Required documentation and processes

Filling in vacancies is simple: as soon as the candidate applies, they need to submit the necessary documentation through the IFRS electronic system.

The required documents are listed in the notice, and it is important that they are scanned correctly – a photo or a PDF file is enough. It is worth highlighting that there is no registration fee, which makes this opportunity even more accessible.

How to register and secure your place?

Reopened registrations will begin at 14pm this Thursday, August 22, 2024, and will run until 23:59pm on August 29, 2024.

The registration process will be completely online, through the portal ingress.ifrs.edu.br, where candidates must use their gov.br account login and password. This account is essential to access various public services in Brazil, so if you don't already have one, you will need to create one before continuing with the registration.

Pay attention to deadlines!

Registration at the Federal Institute will remain open until August 29, 2024, but, with vacancies being filled in order of registration, it is crucial that interested parties register as soon as possible to guarantee their participation. For more information and access to the full notice, visit the IFRS entry website and follow the updates.
