The beer developed by the AB InBev innovation team will be launched first in Canada, as the focus is on reaching countries that suffer from a lack of sunlight first.
Corona, a beer brand owned by Ambev, is proud of always running its advertising campaigns based on a relationship with the sun and summer. Now, the brand has just announced yet another release that brings this relationship closer – a product never made, which includes the addition of an unprecedented ingredient in the world of beer: the vitamin D.

The launch, which in addition to having vitamin D, is also non-alcoholic, was named Corona Sunbrew. The new beer was developed by AB InBev's innovation team with the aim of providing 30% of the daily dose of vitamin D that is recommended by Health Canada experts. In addition to vitamin D and not having an alcohol content, beer has a bonus: there are only 70 calories per bottle.
The first country that will be able to consume the new beer launch will be Canada, as the product was developed especially for customers from countries with low exposure to sunlight during a good part of the year, which is often due to the more intense cold seasons. In the northern hemisphere, winter runs from December 21 to March 20. At the extremes, in environments like Canada, sunlight is scarce at this time of the year.

“As a brand that was born on the beach, Corona embraces the outdoors in everything we do, because we believe outdoors is where people best disconnect and relax. The feeling of sunshine is one of the things people love most about the outdoors, and the Corona brand is always innovating to remind them of that feeling,” said Felipe Ambra, Global Vice President, Corona. “Now, we are excited to offer consumers Corona Sunbrew 0,0%, the first non-alcoholic beer with vitamin D, reinforcing our desire to help people reconnect with nature at any time.”
Launch in Brazil
Also in 2022, Corona Sunbrew should land in countries other than Canada, such as the United Kingdom and other consumer markets in Europe, South America and Asia. Until the present moment, the new Corona beer still does not have a date to be launched in Brazil.
