The 2014 Ford Fusion has been a standout in the used sedan market, offering a combination of elegance and performance at an affordable price. Currently, it is possible to find used models for around R$60, making it an economical and attractive alternative, even cheaper than Onix.

Midsize sedans have always been highly desired in the automotive market Brazilian, with popular cars such as the Ford Fusion, Jetta, and Cruze, among others. In this article, we will talk about the 2014 Ford Fusion, which, despite being manufactured in Mexico, is one of Ford's greatest successes in Brazil. The mid-size/large sedan has always stood out in the segment for its comfort, performance, and high level of equipment, surpassing rivals such as the Hyundai Azera, Toyota Camry and VW Passat. In the city, the sedan in the Ford hybrid version reaches 16,4 km/l, reaching 18,4 km/l on the highway.

Used Ford Fusion delivers up to 175 horsepower

The model debuted at the end of 2012 with the Titanium 2.0 AWD and, therefore, is the most sought after, with an interior finish compared to the Audi, BMW and Mercedes trio, in which a sunroof, face-to-face key, handbrake and electric seat are mandatory. .

The space of the 2014 Ford Fusion is also above average, with a wheelbase of 2,85 m, which guarantees plenty of comfort for five adults and the trunk holds 514 liters. The 2.5 Flex engine features a turbo and direct injection that produces 175 hp and 24,2 kgfm, associated with a 6-speed AT transmission.

In this way, the 2014 Ford Fusion goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 10,5 seconds. The model can reach a top speed of 195 km/h, weighing 1.572 kg. The cheapest version of the Ford Fusion gets 7,3 km/l in the city and 10,4 km/l on the highway. Its fuel tank can hold up to 62 liters.

2014 Ford Fusion design still impresses

At the front, this generation of Fusion followed a front grille “shark mouth” at the top and air intake at the bottom. The model already had fog lights and halogen headlights. The Fusion is quite large for its category, measuring 4,87 m in length, 1,85 m in width, 1,48 m in height and a wheelbase of 2,85 m.

On the side, we have 17-inch alloy wheels, which were sold in silver. The rear view mirror has a turn signal repeater, defogger and is painted in the color of the vehicle. At the rear, we have LED headlights with red arrows at the top and exhaust on the right side at the bottom.

Inside, the finish of the used Ford Fusion is very good for a R$60 car. There is a finish that imitates wood, with silver-colored handles and soft material on almost the entire door. The internal space offers great comfort.

Although it is a 2014 Ford Fusion, the model has air vents and a 12V socket. In the cabin, we have electric seats, height and depth adjustment of the steering wheel.

Details to look out for when purchasing a used Ford Fusion

For those who plan to buy a 2014 Ford Fusion, it is possible to find the model in the Titanium version for around R$61 on sales sites such as OLX. However, it is essential to pay attention to some important details when purchasing a used Ford Fusion.

A 6F35 transmission requires fluid change every 240 thousand km. However, it is crucial to check that the filter is not saturated, which can cause a drop in hydraulic pressure and damage to the clutch discs. Direct injection must also be analyzed, as irregular idling, malfunctions, increased consumption and decreased performance are symptoms of insufficient pressure in the fuel line.

Furthermore, it is necessary to be aware of recalls. There were five calls: front seat recliner, security system module and door locks (2013 model), steering gear (2013 to 2014 models) and front belt pretensioners (2013 to 2016 models). Checking whether these problems have been resolved is essential to ensure the safety and proper functioning of the vehicle.

Extremely expensive maintenance.

Pray it doesn't fail.

I have had an A for 2 years and I only maintain it correctly, I have never had any problems. I have now changed the 4 tires, which cost 800 each, totaling R$3.200. If you know how to use it correctly, it is an excellent car for those looking for comfort and quality!

2 thousand is the price of a run-flat tire. I have a Fusion Hybrid. I pay between 600 and 800 reais for each tire. If it's a Michelin tire, it's about a thousand reais each. Maintenance on the hybrid model is very low. My only major maintenance expense to date has been the suspension. I spent about 5 thousand to replace all the shock absorbers and bushings and used original ones. But considering they lasted 150 thousand km, it's still quite plausible. Otherwise, just change the engine oil and gearbox on a regular basis and it won't bother me. I paid 180 reais for an oil change kit with original Ford oil and filter. It's really cheap, 1.0. Gearbox oil using Motoul costs about 350 reais.

There are good tires on the market for half that price. I have a 2014 and I've never spent a cent on maintenance other than oil changes. Of course, if you have a problem, you'll spend more than you would on a popular tire, but you'll be driving a machine and not a 1.0 junk car. LOL

No one can deny that the car is beautiful and luxurious, but 18 km/l is fucked up... Either they have no idea or they are really liars!!!

Cheaper than Onix, the article says. The problem is that you can even buy a car like this, but maintenance is very expensive. If it breaks down, you're screwed, it's the remains of a rich man. Whoever buys an Onix, HB 20, in my case, I have an HB20, can't afford to maintain a car like this, all the parts are expensive. There's no point in doing something that your pocket can't maintain.

The automotive journalist, in addition to reporting surreal consumption, omits the extremely expensive maintenance of Ford, certainly the headline, as always, aiming to interest the reader, then deceived, in reading the article, increasing the number of people who became aware of the article and thus increasing possible interest in advertising. How unethical!

I have a Fusion Hybrid. It's been more than 18 years. My best average so far has been 23. When you say 18 you're being conservative. Now the versions that aren't hybrids drink gas. And for 60 thousand you can find a hybrid. Not in excellent condition. But you can find it.

I am going to take legal action against this advertisement, asking for the person responsible for the advertisement to sell this car for the advertised price.
