The FPSO arrived in Brazil this Monday, the 26th, after traveling more than two months. The purpose of the arrival of the platform is the continuation of a Petrobras project in Angra dos Reis
The FPSO Anna Nery platform, a Yinson unit, which will be used in the second module of the Petrobras which aims to revitalize Marlim, arrived in Brazil this Monday, the 26th, and is already parked in Largo do Rio de Janeiro, where it will undergo the customs clearance process and then proceed to the BrasFELS shipyard, in Angra dos Reis.
As mentioned, the platform will go to the BrasFELS shipyard in the city of Angra dos Reis, in Rio de Janeiro, after being released by the Brazilian authorities. The FPSO Anna Nery was converted by Yinson at the Cosco Heavy Shipping Industry shipyard, located in China. The works carried out on the platform took just over 2 years to be completed and the unit began traveling to Brazil in July.
The FPSO is scheduled to start operations in early 2023 and it will carry out the entire commissioning process at the Angra dos Reis shipyard.

FPSO production capacity
The FPSO will have a production capacity of 70 bpd, capable of compressing 4 million m³/d of gas. Petrobras already has a license for the installation by Ibama and the implementation of the new system, in Angra dos Reis.
The FPSO contract will be the first deal between Yinson and Petrobras, and Yinson is participating in Rio Oil & Gas 2022 for the first time, as an exhibitor.
Petrobras decommissioning operation
Petrobras has been making constant efforts in the decommissioning operation, keeping the platforms in operation and stops in the asset. Still, there is an expectation that Petrobras will release, in the year 2023, a tender for the decommissioning of Marlim, in Angra dos Reis.
The two new FPSOs will be connected to a total of 77 wells, 73 in Marlim, in Angra dos Reis, and four in Voador. In all, there will be 45 producers and 32 injectors, of which 44 will be connected to FPSO Anita Garibaldi and 33 to FPSO Anna Nery. In total, the Marlim revitalization project will have 14 new wells and 63 relocated from the production units that will be decommissioned.
The field revitalization project will require total investments of around R$ 70 billion. With the two FPSO units, Marlim will reach a new production milestone of 150 bpd and 2 million m³/d of gas, a milestone to be reached between 2025 and 2026.
Petrobras project at the Angra dos Reis shipyard
Besides the FPSOs Anna Nery, the Marlim revitalization project will include the installation of another FPSO, the Anita Garibaldi, which was chartered by MODEC and was destined for module 1 of the system. FPSO Anita Garibaldi has a production capacity of 80 bpd and left the DSIC – Dalian shipyard, in China, recently, with a forecast to start operations in 2023.
Following the same strategic line as Yinson, Modec will also take the FPSO Anita Garibaldi to Brasfels in Angra dos Reis to carry out the final commissioning activities, before starting the operation for Petrobras.
The FPSOs Anna Nery and Anita Garibaldi will replace the nine units that are currently installed in the field. They are: P-33, P-26, P-32, P-37, P-18, P-19, P-20, P-35 and P-47. The revitalization project will include the installation of two new FPSOs, associated with a decommissioning operation of the old UEPs.
