Integrative and complementary practices
Integrative and Complementary Health Practices (PICS) have been officially integrated into the SUS since 2006 and currently encompass 29 therapeutic approaches, including phytotherapy, music therapy and flower therapy. These practices act as a complement to traditional clinical treatments, promoting a more holistic approach to health.
The AVASUS platform also offers training in areas such as yoga, meditation, aromatherapy and self-massage, strengthening access to knowledge about complementary therapies and expanding the care options available in the public health system.
