The State Secretariat for Education and Culture (SEE) announced the opening of the registration process for free English and Spanish courses, offered online (EaD) by the Language Study Center (CEL). The vacancies are intended for students of the Public Education Network, as well as the community in general in the municipalities of Acrelândia, Brasiléia, Epitaciolândia, Feijó, Sena Madureira, Tarauacá and Xapuri.
Course Objective and Structure
The free and online courses (EAD) aim to provide accessible language training, promoting the learning of foreign languages in a flexible and interactive way. Teaching will be 100% online, with synchronous (live) classes twice a week and asynchronous (recorded) activities, including written exercises and video classes. The workload is structured to allow continuous learning, using technologies that encourage student protagonism.
Vacancies and locations offered
There are 280 places available for free online courses (EAD), divided between English (175 places) and Spanish (105 places). Classes will be held in a virtual environment, however, students who do not have internet access will be able to use the UAB Centers in the participating cities. The schedules are divided between morning and afternoon shifts, according to the availability of each class.

Selection process and pre-registration
The selection will be made in order of registration in the online pre-registration, with priority given to students from the Public Education Network. After the initial period, the remaining vacancies will be made available to the community in general.
Application requirements
Students from the 8th grade of Elementary School to the 3rd grade of High School in the Public School System, as well as students from private institutions and people who have already completed High School can apply. Candidates must reside in one of the municipalities covered and have a valid CPF to register.
