Companies join forces to launch a project that promises free solar energy for the Northeast, generating photovoltaic energy on residential and commercial roofs.
Um innovative project promises to provide free solar energy to 50 thousand homes and commercial establishments monthly in the Northeast region of Brazil, at no cost to property owners. This initiative is the result of a collaboration between Revo, Sou Energy and Huawei, functioning in a similar way to a lease, with significant potential to boost the use of photovoltaic energy in the region.

In this photovoltaic energy initiative, the owner or tenant subscribes to the service, allowing the installation of solar panels on the roof at no cost for equipment or installation. It works as a kind of roof rental, offering the user a discount of around 20% on their energy bill.
At the end of the contract, with a minimum duration of 6 years, the user becomes the owner of the solar system, being able to permanently save up to 80% on their electricity bill. The investment fund involved in the project receives remuneration through a portion of the savings generated, which is retained by Revo.

A I'm Energy, the largest distributor of solar kits in the North and Northeast, benefits from the sale of equipment, while Huawei, a Chinese giant, contributes its technology to the free solar energy project. Residents and small businesses with energy bills between R$400 and R$15 thousand, which have roofs suitable for solar generation, can participate in the project. The project has a special focus on peripheral areas of the Northeast and North.
According to Mario Viana, commercial and marketing director at Sou Energy, it is not necessary to be the owner of the property; Rented properties can also participate, as long as there is authorization from the owner.
Free solar energy project promises extra income of up to R$10
The companies' new development was announced in April of this year, in Fortaleza. It is worth mentioning that in this photovoltaic solar energy system, the credit generated from the energy produced cannot be used in more than one unit. In addition to the advantage in the electricity bill, the expectation is that the model will generate job openings for up to 10 salespeople and integrators who will make the connection between customers and companies.
According to Mario Viana, there is the possibility of earning at least R$3 with the model, but the value can be much higher, exceeding R$10, depending on the number of subscriptions gained.
For Kléber Pinho, CEO of Sou energy, the project could revolutionize the income of thousands of families, functioning as a kind of 'Uber of solar energy'. Interested parties can attend a training event for sellers and integrators. The event will take place on April 17th at Teatro Via Sul at 9:30am or 15:30pm or 20pm.
Huawei speaks about the initiative
For Rômulo Horta, Channel Director at Huawei Digital Power, increasing the use of clean energy is essential and urgent, given that global energy demand is expected to grow by 58% by 2040, 2% per year, according to the Bloomberg NEF (BNEF) which provides data on energy markets.
Horta states that we are facing an energy challenge like never before. As fossil fuel reserves are depleted, our demand for energy grows. In the next 20 years we will consume almost 36% more energy. We need to change this reality as soon as possible.
The focus of the free solar energy project is to offer the end customer the opportunity to generate photovoltaic energy without making any investment and, in this way, generate more benefits and lower costs.
