Partnerships between companies make work much faster and safer in the offshore sector. A fugro, closed one contract with Jumbo Offshore to assist with the installation of 35 torpedo piles, with a total of 24 mooring lines to anchor the floating unit Merry 1, pre-salt field, Santos Basin. Mero 1 is located 180 km off the coast of RJ, where the Petrobras and other companies operate.

Campo Mero 1 has a Production Sharing contract with Consórcio Libra. Petrobras is the operator, with 40% of production. Shell has a total of 20%, CNOOC Limited 10% and CNOOC another 10%. At the beginning of the month, Petrobras announced delays in its first oil production in Mero 1, through the FPSO Guanabara. The expectation is that this will only happen in the first quarter of 2022.
